All our Alpine courses are led by IFMGA Mountain Guides and UIMLA International Mountain Leaders. These are the highest qualifications in the world, and are a legal requirement for leading groups in the Alps. These standards also maximise the amount you learn, and to ensure your safety.

Some key course directors



GILLES - Originally from Annecy, and qualified as both a Guide and engineer. Gilles is an especially strong rock and ice climber, and is also a very keen skier. Gilles is an excellent teacher, and is an instructor at ENSA, the Guide School.		DAVID - He visits the Alps each summer from his home in Canada. David is a very regular face on the Matterhorn, Classics and Mont Blanc courses. He comes from the Canmore region of Canada, close to the winter ice climbs.



STEFANO - Originally from Milan, Stefano now lives near Gran Paradiso National Park. As well as being a Guide, he is also a technical consultant for Ferrino equipment. Stefano leads several of our ski courses, especially those in the Gran Paradiso area!		LINDSAY - She is a familiar face on many of the Alpine trekking trips such as the Tour du Mont Blanc and Acclimatisation treks. As well as guiding, she is a very keen ski tourer, mountain biker and climber, who has lived in the Alps for over a decade.
