Chamonix Office
Our
Chamonix office is in a great place for courses to meet,
just a one minute walk from the Aiguille du Midi cable
car station. The primary role of the office is to provide
those on courses with a base where they meet their guides,
and also where course logistics such as hut bookings,
airport transfers, and equipment hire are organised. No
other UK company provides their clients with a base in
Chamonix, and we consider that it is essential for helping
you learn more, and to get the most out of your course.
As
you can see from these photos, our Chamonix office is
comfortably decorated as a good place for clients to meet.
There are maps of all the key Alpine regions on the walls,
so that you can see where you are going each day, and
there are photos of course clients and guides all over
the walls.

| One
of the greatest selling points about our Alpine courses is that
we offer evening theory sessions in order to suppliment your
day of Guiding, and to make you more autonomous. The office
provides the base where these evening sessions are held (usually
17:30 to 19:00 each day). The training is further assisted by
the bouldering wall, on which you can practise techniques from
climbing styles to the setting up of anchor systems. For further

office stocks our course hire equipment, which includes everything
from ice axes to helmets, and crampons to rucksacks. For full

we have a range of souvenir Icicle branded clothing such as
t-shirts and hooded tops.

Drop
in for a chat about a course
If you are travelling to Chamonix
already, and would like to chat about a course over
a cup of coffee, e-mail us and we can fix a time
that suits you during your holiday. We can show
you a slide show of the course, so you know exactly
what to expect. In order to find the office, there

The office is the meeting place at the beginning
of every course, normally at 18:00 each Sunday unless
it is a weekend course when the meeting time is
usually 08:15 on Saturdays. As the map to the right
shows, the office is a one minute walk from the
Aiguille du Midi cable car station. If you are getting
an airport transfer from Icicle, you will be delivered
directly to the office, though even if you are arranging
your own transfer, you can often request to be dropped
off there or the Aiguille du Midi cable car station.
