What is the flat check in procedure? If you are
arriving for the office hours check in between 17:00
and 19:00, you will meet a representative at the Icicle
office, who will show you to your flat(s). They will
ask you for a bank card for a damage deposit. Nothing
is charged to your card, except in the case of damage
(e.g. broken window) during your stay. Your card impression
is returned to you / shredded on your check out, at
the end of your stay.

In arriving later than 19:00. Can I get in? If
you arrive after office hours (19:00) you will need
to book a late check-in (there is no charge for this
service as long as you book it in advance) to collect
your keys. In these cases your keys and directions of
how to find your flat will be left in an envelope with
your name on it, behind the bar of Munster Bar in the
Chamonix Sud square just behind the office. The bar
is only guaranteed open until midnight, so make sure
you arrive before then.

Are pets allowed in the Ski-Pods? Some of the
Ski-Pods have wood / tile / lino floors, and only in
these flats we allow well behaved dogs. Sorry we do
not allow cats. You will find a paw symbol like this
in the information
section of the applicable Ski-Pods. Rest assured that
if you are not a pet lover, the flats are cleaned thoroughly
after each dog has departed!

What is the check out procedure? You must check
out before 10:00 on the morning of your departure. Late
departures will be automatically billed for an extra
night (pro rata on weekly rate). There is no charge
for early departures. When you are ready to leave you
can drop the keys off at the Icicle office. If no one
is there, then leave the keys in the letter box to the
left of the door.

How clean do we need to leave the Ski-Pod? The
flat must be left in the same clean and tidy condition
as it was upon arrival. Bedding must be stripped and
folded, floors swept / vacuumed, washing up done and
put away, and bins emptied. If you do not wish to do
this, we can do the check out clean for you for £20
per hour or part thereof, and most flats can be cleaned
within an hour.

What about breakages? Upon checking out we will
inspect the accommodation for any damage. If any item
has been broken, it must be replaced (or paid for) on
departure, on a new for old basis. We accept normal
wear and tear, but any wanton damage is totally unacceptable.
If any has occured you will be billed £20 per
hour to rectify the damage, plus the costs of materials.
In addition if the repairs influence a future booking,
you will be billed the cost of their alternative accommodation,
until the date that the repairs are complete and they
can move back into the repaired / renovated accommodation.

What should I expect from a Ski-Pod? Our Ski-Pods
are basic, no frills, studio flats. Bedding, linen and
towels are provided for your stay. The Ski-Pods are
small, cheap, and functional. Great as a ski bases for
small families or groups of mates, not as high spec
top end accommodation. You get what you pay for, and
we have kept the prices low to pass on the savings to
you.

How clean are the Ski-Pods? All of the Ski-Pods
are cleaned before you arrive. All our cleaners have
a specific cleaning check list, so when you arrive,
you can be sure that the Ski-Pod is clean.

What items are provided? You are renting a self-catered
studio flat (none of the Ski-Pods have separate bedrooms),
and no supplies are provided with the price. There is
a supermarket in the square in front of the Ski-Pods,
and you can get all supplies here; food, drink, toilet
rolls, etc.

Are the flats secure? The Ski-Pods are all in
secure apartment blocks with coded key pad or security
tag secured entry, and each flat has a unique lock.
Up to one key will be provided per person, and a £20
charge is made per lost key to supply a new lock and
a new set of keys. To date we have not had any issues
with security or theft from any of the Ski-Pods.

If there are any problems, what do I do? Call
our in-resort telephone immediately with any problems;
+33 67 55 621 55. We cannot be held liable for issues
with the general apartment building, such as broken
lifts, powder cuts, etc. If we are informed of any general
issue, we undertake to inform the syndic who runs the
building for them to arrange immediate repairs.

Is the area noisy? Chamonix Sud is a young, vibrant
region of town, but it is rare for anyone to complain
about the noise. The Ski-Pods are hardly marketed as
country retreats, rather as great bases for people to
enjoy the mountains, and the town. There are several
bars in the region but these are licenced until 1am,
and the two nightclubs in the area both empty out into
streets away from the area.
