'Ice
Angels' Alpine Courses |
When
designing the
courses, we kept three
things in mind; 1) Use the key structure of the
Icicle Mountaineering itineraries, as they are clearly a winning formula, 2)
Try to make the price more attractive for women, 3) Offer more comfortable
accommodation. |

Over
the last few years I have
asked a lot of women what
they would be looking for in a course, and also what puts them
off existing courses. The summary above sums up their answers; they wanted
a good course but not to make it too geeky, a good price, and somewhere nice to
stay. In addition, the
majority felt that they would learn more, feel more comfortable, and get
a better group dynamic by climbing with other women. This
is exactly what we have on offer, and we would be silly not to, considering
it is what was asked for. |
