'Ice Angels' Alpine Courses

When designing the courses, we kept three things in mind; 1) Use the key structure of the Icicle Mountaineering itineraries, as they are clearly a winning formula, 2) Try to make the price more attractive for women, 3) Offer more comfortable accommodation.

Over the last few years I have asked a lot of women what they would be looking for in a course, and also what puts them off existing courses. The summary above sums up their answers; they wanted a good course but not to make it too geeky, a good price, and somewhere nice to stay. In addition, the majority felt that they would learn more, feel more comfortable, and get a better group dynamic by climbing with other women. This is exactly what we have on offer, and we would be silly not to, considering it is what was asked for.
We are the holder of a UIAA Environment Label, which is a sign of our commitment to educating all mountain users to help protect the environment. For more details click on: environment page.
The majority of our technical hire equipment is provided by Grivel France, especially our stock of ice axes and crampons. We are proud to be partnered with Grivel, and this ensures that our hire kit is of the highest possible standard, in terms of providing you the best and safest products available.
