| How
many times have you travelled to a UK rock climb to find three pitches of wet,
slimy, loose rock with dodgy protection? Have you ever looked at the rocky pinnacles
above Chamonix wishing that you could climb the ten pitch routes on the sunbathed
red granite, but been left on the two pitch bolted valley crags? This course will
allow you the opportunity to climb steep, dry, Alpine rock in full summer sun.
For those looking for the ultimate in rock climbing, you could be enjoying over
twenty pitches of solid granite or 300m of vertical limestone with fantastic views.
Whatever your preference, you are guaranteed to be challenged during your week
of classic routes. The
Mont Blanc massif and Chamonix is an absolute mecca for Alpine rock climbing.
There are routes of every grade to suit all levels of climber from a total beginner
to an expert. Routes frequently ascended include the Chappelle de la Gliere, Rebuffat
on Midi, Marchand de Sable, and Frisson Roche on Brevent. It is up to you if you
would like to stay in a hut for a night or two, or if you stick to day routes
to benefit from the comfort of your flat in town. |
