Welcome
into the Icicle Alpine courses departure lounge!
You
will have found this page from the link supplied with
your course booklet that is sent with your e-confirmation,
so congratulations for reading the information pack! You
wouldn't believe how few do. We are trying to move towards
becoming a paperless office, and the carbon footprint
of posting documents that can be downloaded for free is
unjustifiable. For the hardened cynics out there, yes
this does save us money too, but we have ensured that
for each course that the savings are passed on to you
with lower prices.
Click
on any of the links below, in order to read or print off
a copy of any of the booklets or items. All of these are
protected by copyright, and are exclusively for use by
Icicle clients. Any copyright infringement, or unauthorised
use or distribution of these documents is banned. You
do not need to print off any of these items, to take with
you to the Alps, but you may find it useful to take the
instruction booklet if you wish to make notes.

Post-course

After a course, we welcome
feedback, and so here is a form to tell us how we
are doing. Download a copy to send / give to us.
Acclimatisation
weekends
If
you have had problems acclimatising before, or are on
a course that goes to high altitude (over 4000m), then
you should consider an acclimatisation weekend that is
based in the Alps on the weekend prior to your course.
This will massively increase your summiting chances as
you will be better able to cope with the altitude. For
further details, click
here.
If you wish to practise any ropework or knots before your trip, you can watch the video below, and for more skills and ropework, please visit our key safety knots & ropework page; click here.

Any
further questions?
A
key part of choosing a company is being able to come and
talk about your plans with an experienced course advisor
face to face. In an increasingly virtual world, we know
our clients value speaking to real people, getting open
and honest advice. The vast majority of our clients are
British, and our office and outdoor store is based in
Windermere in the English Lake District.
Get
in contact to arrange a meeting, and come in for a coffee
to discuss your course in person with a trip
advisor.
