Leaders
/ coaches & Personal Trainers
|
|
 |
 |
There
is nothing purer and more liberating than running through
the stunning scenery of the Alps, and it is no wonder
that trail running has become so popular in recent years.
Whether you are a frequent runner, or are relatively new
to the sport, there is lots to learn about; the choice
of equipment, coping with different terrain, the use of
poles, running on steep ground, what to carry, the effects
of altitude, and much more... |
 |
Our
range of trail running courses and camps in the Alps are
aimed at confirmed runners who are running between 10km
and half marathon distances on the flat, who want to discover
the delights of off road Alpine trail running. If you
have any previous cross country experience, it is a bonus,
but not a pre-requisite. The key is to introduce you to
the region, and to enjoy some great runs and altitude
training sessions. |
 |
So
what sets us apart from other trail running camps? All
of our are led by very experienced trail runners, who
have raced in some of the greatest trail races in the
world, such as the UTMB (read
more here). Our course leaders are also
dual qualified as Personal Trainers and International
Mountain Leaders. The experience and qualifications of
the trail running course leaders, is second to none. We
don't believe that an elite runner makes a good coach.
They must be highly qualified, professional and approachable
too. Trails beat egos! Our trail running courses are all
run by finishers, not elite level DNF types. |
|
|

| Our
courses are all run by passionate trail runners, but more
important than that they are all highly qualified leaders
too, who really know the region and the best trails to
run whatever the weather and conditions. The fact that
they are out running every day is your guarantee of the
best standards and passion.
Alpine Fitness and Trail
Running camps are run by fully qualified UIMLA International
Mountain Leaders (a legal requirement for leading groups
in the Alps), who are also Personal Trainers too. This
ensures that you are coached by highly experienced professionals,
who regularly compete in world class events. |
 |
 |
We
are the local experts. No other UK operator offers these
courses, who is based in Chamonix Mont Blanc. |
 |
All
our leaders are fully qualified to lead you in the Alps,
and are themselves keen active trail runners too. |
 |
You
have access to unparallelled amounts of local knowledge,
nutritional, equipment and training advice. |
 |
We
have a very experienced in-resort team, who are there
to assist you throughout your stay in the Alps. |
 |
Chamonix
has some of the most amazing views in all of the Alps,
as well as the best trail running routes. |
